Asst. Infrastructure Minister Jamie Briggs wants the Inverbrackie detention centre in the Adelaide Hills to be converted to an aged care facility. It is one of six centres the Federal government plans to close, saving $280 million, given the drop-off in new boat people arrival. Inverbrackie currently holds 300 people awaiting processing.
