The Not For Profit is selling its heritage-listed Avonsleigh Terrace Community to fund the $27.3M redevelopment of its buildings in St Kilda, 6km from the CBD, according to Domain. The 29-bedroom St Kilda property, which sits on 1,154sqm in Robe Street and was bought by the Mission for $1.15M in 1992, is being marketed as a redevelopment opportunity with an indicative selling price between $6.85M and $7.5M. As we reported here, Sacred Heart Mission is bringing together its aged care and accommodation services to create a new support hub with Avonsleigh residents to be moved to the new facility when it opens.
