Developer Constance50 Pty Ltd has submitted a development application for a 31-storey Build To Rent development at 50 Constance Street in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.

The building will have 327 apartments, including 50 studios, 128 one-bedroom units, 75 two-bedroom units and 74 three-bedroom units; it will also include commercial and retail spaces, indoor sport areas and recreational spaces. It is one of two new Build To Rent towers being proposed in the area.

Build To Rent is seen as a challenge to traditional retirement villages and an attractive prospect for baby boomers, as it offers many of the same amenities and advantages as a retirement village in an intergenerational setting with no DMF.
