Staff in line for payment after Aegis Health admits to underpaying workers

The private aged care operator, which has 30 homes in Perth and in the south west of Western Australia, has launched a review of its employee entitlements after admitting to underpaying workers. In April 2023, the United Workers Union informed Aegis it believed some of its employees had been receiving a casual loading when they were entitled to overtime pay. A spokesperson for the company told The SOURCE, the company "acted promptly" to ensure all employees were receiving the correct payments under their Enterprise Agreements and launched a review.

"This review has determined that some of our employees may be entitled to receive a further payment from us," an Aegis spokesperson said
