Tim Russell and Mark Taylor’s Aura Holdings has ‘number of sites in pipeline’

With its sixth retirement village The Ninth Middle Ridge, overlooking the ninth fairway of The Toowoomba Golf Club, at 50% capacity after opening late last year, Aura Holdings is still seeking growth. Aura Holdings knows it needs a significant injection of capital funding and it has gone to the market to seek a new partner alongside its existing funding partner, Singapore-based SC Capital Partners, The Weekly SOURCE reported last month.

“We have received Development Application approval to build the seventh at Budds Beach, Gold Coast. Following that we have a number of other sites in our pipeline (in SE QLD) that we are in early discussions on,” Aura Holdings CEO Sean Graham told The SOURCE.

Sean said that The Ninth Middle Ridge offers a location and level of product previously unavailable. It is selling two-bedroom apartments from $600,000 and three-bedroom units from $735,000.

“In regard to our portfolio, The Ninth Middle Ridge is fairly consistent with our Somerset Indooroopilly development being both on a golf course and having been designed by Cox Architecture. The main difference (vs Indooroopilly) is how closely it interacts with the golf course itself – the communal facilities lead onto an expansive outdoor entertaining area which is bordered by a new chipping and putting green. Residents can sit and enjoy the incredible view down the Ninth hole and members will be able to literally step onto the practice green,” said Sean.

Tim and Mark founded Aura Holdings in 2016. The pair together have more than 35 years’ experience working within the retirement industry. The average age of entry across the portfolio is 75.
