After last weeks article identifying the top 20 retirement village developers for 2015 we received additional information two operators.
Justin Harrison from The Village Retirement group in Brisbane advised that our figure of 50 new units to be delivered in 2015 should be updated to 158 new units, making them the second biggest developer in the country after Stockland. (Oaktree may still exceed this number however).
Southern Cross Care SA & NT also let us know that they will deliver 45 new units this year, making them No. 20 on our list. All up the 20 operators will deliver 1,763 new units this year. Our rough estimate is that 2,700 units all up will be built, requiring approximately $810 million in funding.
