Two charged after aggravated break and enters at two units in a retirement village in Dubbo in NSW's Central West

NSW Police Force received multiple reports of the break-ins in the village in the city, 392km Northwest of Sydney between 2am and 6am on 16 November. Following inquiries, about 9.15am the same day, officers attended a home in Dubbo and arrested two boys – aged 15 and 16. They were taken to Dubbo Police Station. NSW Police Force said in a media release both have been refused bail. The boy, 15, has been charged with, among other offences, aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable off in company steal (four counts). He was also charged with breaching bail. The 16-year-old, also charged with breaching bail, was charged with, together with other offences, aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable off in company steal, aggravated break and enter dwelling in company intend steal (three counts) and aggravated break and enter dwelling in company steal. NSW Police Force said its Operation Regional Mongoose is a high-visibility police operation to tackle serious property-related crime committed predominately by young offenders.
