Two more fires in retirement villages – one woman dies

A single woman resident aged in her 80s died in an intense fire that totally destroyed her unit in a retirement village in Springvale, South East Melbourne. (Top photo). The cause is not yet known. A second fire at Koorootang retirement village on the Mornington Peninsula (Victoria) caused extensive damage after a kitchen appliance caught fire. (Bottom photo). Nobody was at home at the time.
