UnitingCare QLD CEO, Anne Cross, has been named Telstras businesswoman of the year. She was also the winner of Telstras Community and Government Award.
A former frontline social worker and CEO of UnitingCare since 2003, Anne won the awards for her successful merger of a large and diverse number of community services into an integrated organisation. UnitingCare now operates 400 locations with 16,000 staff and 9000 volunteers, delivering health and community services.
