The Victorian Minister for Disability, Ageing and Carers, Luke Donnellan (pictured), announced the funding in Bendigo last week, promising nearly $1 million state-wide for all public residential aged care services.
The Andrews Labor Government says the money has been granted so that state-run facilities can purchase “specialised care equipment”.
Each of VIC’s 178 public residential aged care services will receive $5,600 to purchase equipment best suited to the specific needs of their residents – a total $996,800.
