VIC: Council for Homeless Persons (CHP) issues warning over caravan park closures

CHP CEO Jenny Smith has told the ABC at least six caravan parks have closed recently in Victoria, each one housing up to 200 people. In the latest incidence, 130 residents at the Capel Caravan Park, south of Melbourne, will need to find new homes after it was sold. An issue that could put serious pressures on affordable housing – in Victoria, there are already over 80,000 people on the waiting list for public housing.
