The Victorian Labor Government has announced the community-run Andrew Kerr Care will receive $500,000 in funding to build an intergenerational learning centre in Mornington.

Minister for Early Childhood Ingrid Stitt confirmed the State Government would be contributing to the construction of the $1.2 million 66-place centre, next to Andrew Kerr’s aged care home.

“The Intergenerational Learning Centre will enable our elderly and youngest people to connect and learn from each other to provide a unique approach to care and education,” Ms Stitt said.

Construction is expected to start by February this year and be finished mid-year.
