The new 90-bed public aged care facility at St George’s Health Service, 6km east of the Melbourne CBD, will feature two separate three-storey ‘houses’ which will accommodate 15 residents on each floor.
The design will also include private rooms, garden outlooks and access to domestic-style kitchens. Residents will also have access to the Service’s medical rehabilitation and allied health services.
It goes to show – it’s not just the Not For Profits and private operators who are embracing this new model of care.
